Alex has asked me to post up a couple of pictures showing the 255 ext that has been in development over the last several months.
I got a late start on the welder today as I had another new model that needed to be checked before production and we needed to confirm a couple of points for suppliers so this took priority.

The first picture shows the units
    Second shows wave forms
Third shows Easy start setting for AC I can post the auto settings for the easy start setting over the next day or two

Looks like it's getting pretty close. Any idea of the final pricing?

Sounds good. One thing, if you switch the WP18F to a WP20F the two torches could share consumables and the WP20 is rated to 250A so it would still be a good match for this machine.

Now the big question: Any idea of a realistic shipping date for these?

    Yipee!

That front panel and graphic looks about 200% better that the prototype pic from a few months ago. Good job!

It comes with 2 torches? Cool.

I'm with Rambozo on this one, the 20F is a better torch choice.
Penncrest Buzzbox - Infinite amp control! Man the 70's were good.
Everlast Powerplasma 60 - Reliable unit, cuts well.
Everlast i-MIG 250P w/spoolgun - Really smooth, plenty of cajones.
Everlast 250EXT - Sometimes it just takes a kick in the balls...
Everlast 255EXT - Just started playing

Looks like it should be a very capable machine to compete with some of the other front runners in the industry.

For anyone interested these are the specs we are working on for the 255ext
Finalized version will be shipped here for final evaluation .but so far everything is performing as hoped for with some programming needed to amend some of our previous requirements .
I hope to have this done tomorrow and final evaluation finished by the end of the week. On a personal note I can get back home to see my granddaughter who was born while I was Halfway to China. It was quite a surprise to read a email telling me this while I was checking in at the hotel.

    Cheers
    Duncan

Congratulations are in order on two fronts.

Those are some pretty impressive specs! The low end on amps is far better than the specs on the website.

Also congratulations on your granddaughter! That's pretty special too.
