To be clear, is this the "new" torch for the 60C? Or is this the trafimet version, but one that can still work with the older units?
Either way, this setup is deal for track torch (straight line) cutting. Using the built in feature, this will allow the torch to be toggle on or off with the switch.
The Torch shown below is a accessory for any owners who wish to use there existing Plasma cutters in a CNC application. The actual Torch supplied with the CNC 60 C Plasma cutters is the A81 Trafimet Machine Head Torch.

The switch also is good for operating pipe beveling machines.

I am currently building a CNC plasma table but have not decided on the actual plasma cutter yet. Are the new PP60 units you have non-HF and is it possible to PM me the price with a machine head torch - I cannot find the pricing for the unit you speak of on the website?

It's HF, but don't believe all that malarky about HF & CNC, it's a bunch of crappola put out there as bogeyman talk to convince you to buy certain products, the everlast units will do CNC. Check out this pp 70 on utube : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Otdkuluv334
thanks geezer - my concern is about the shielding I have been reading is required when using HF. Although I am using shielded cable regardless for my electronics I just want to be sure the money I am putting into this is well spent <- read DIY on low budget :)
The torch pictured above is for the REGULAR HF PowerPlasma 60 units. Properly shielded, the units will work with CNC, though that is a challenge many don't want to undertake. The PP60C will be HV start, not HF. The torch that goes with it is a machine A81. This should not cause the interference. But it is somewhat more expensive and it is CNC ready. I'll have to wrestle down the price for you since they are new. I haven't gotten a firm figure yet from HQ.Quote:

While shielding and ferrite chokes will help to some point, a good single-point grounding of the table and electronics with a short, multi-strand cable is very important.
The high current arc creates noise that is very rich in harmonic frequencies that will radiate like a transmitter and can be coupled into any cable or conductor that approaches the signal/noise wavelength.
Take your time and do it right the first time.
I was planning on keeping everything within the table since space is very limited - so at most the PC and other electronics will be 2ft-3ft away from the cutter. Ken the table will be in my garage which at this point does not seem to have any good grounding point. If I sound like a noob I only started welding and CNC interest this year ;)
Mark please let me know as I will have the table done in early May. If it is a bit too uch will the accessory torch Duncan mentions work on a PP50?
No. You will need an s-75 machine torch.
