IF you talked with Sales, Oleg/Alex is same person.
No, Alex is what he goes by...but Oleg is his given name. We do have an Alex in shipping...But he isn't involved in sales.
No, as I call him both, but usually Alex...but I know who I am talking to so.
it keeps the customers confused which can be useful at times!
I find that he gives a bit better deals as Oleg than as Alex, although as Alex he is pretty smooth on the phone:D
Either way he's always treated me well.
Glen
I call him by a Third name but for some reason the Censorship on the Site will not let me type it LOL
I didn't realize that he went by both names. I have always dealt with him by the name Alex and he has never said anything about it. Even as Alex he gave me a great deal so there is no difference there. Thinking about it, he called me first after I showed interest in the product and referred to himself by the name Alex. And Thanks again Alex, I plan to order some more stuff including another welder but have to wait the extra funds.
Oleg, Alex, Jim, Sue, Jane, He can call himself anything he likes since I got the 50% discount in the last contest. that Power Tig 250 EXT is looking mighty good. ;)
Thurmond or is it Trey ? :D
Guys .. so we all clear
whenever i am on phone , ALEX DOES TAKE SALES CALL AS WELL !
Oleg
And just to make sure we are even more Clear there is now a new Employee and guess what his name is.
That is right we now have another Alex.
This thread is funny. And Duncan's post makes it simple, DUH we have more than one Alex.
As one of the (I almost said oldest) longest Everlast employees, I can give a little history on this..
A couple years ago we hired another Alex that worked in the warehouse. He is a hard working young guy. I can not spell his last name but a great guy and thank God he has a phone with a camera in it, I would need a board sent out on a trouble call, he will MMS a picture to me to make sure it was the right part. Great guy.
Well I guess he is taking overflow calls now. And good for him.
So Alex (my boss) decided back then to use his given name (Oleg; he's Russian) to make things easier. Well that spun off things on the internet for a while.. They calmed down... I see it is all back again.
Mark, Duncan, Ray, we still on the phone talking call him (Oleg) Alex. Like Mark said we know who we are talking to or about. New customers do not.
The funny part, we put an R on the end of my name way way back when, so if we hired another Mike, I would be Mike R in tech support. Far as I know, I am still the only Mike.
Yes,
But Mike people are still getting us confused. Had a call the other day from a customer that was talking away with me about things we "discussed" in a previous phone call that I couldn't remember, and then asked how was the weather down in South Florida.
Oh I know. People still call me Mark on the phone. I finally stopped telling them my name. They confuse us all the time for sure. Hey, maybe we are the same person and Everlast only has two people working there (Alex/Oleg and Mike/Mark).
No if I get someone shocked working on a unit, I will make sure I tell them I am Mark :D
I can relate to that very easy. At work we have three people named Joe. Better yet, try and have a phone conference call and there are four Joe's on the line.
Where I work there is another Jason that will sometimes take calls and this very same thing happened to me Thursday. The customer needed help and when I answered and said my name, his reply was yea I talked to you a little while back about this and you fixed it but now its back. I looked and well, that was before I even worked their but I went along with it and just figured out what his problem was and fixed it. The funny thing is, the solution to the problem was different than he had before.
