Welder cart
Attachment 4587Attachment 4589Attachment 4588Attachment 4590Attachment 4592Attachment 4591Ok here is project one for me. Ithougt it would be easier to start with a flat dolly that I had what a mistake. No matter how I turned it welder just would not sit right because had two pieces of angle in middle so had to cut off with o/a torch then weld 3/4" square tube braces in middle. Then started to build rack out of 1 1/2'x1/8" square tube for upper shelf and water cooler shelf. So here are some pics will post more as it comes together.:O

Here are more pics you can see where I had to remove the two angles from center of dolly and rewelded one further back then add two 3/4" tube braces and 1/8"X2" down center. Frame is mainly 1 1/2" square tube the small square in back is for cooler, welder and hi freq. will sit on bottom shelf and I will put plate and sides on top shelf to hold helmet and tools. More to come.

It's lookin good! Do you have locks on the wheels?
-
wheels
No just heavy duty fixed wheel on back and swivels on front. Thought useing flat dolly I had would would make life easier WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just have to make due for now, think things out little better next time. Still trying to pick up fab. skills. If I can get about half as good as your work I will be very happy. Pratice pratice pratice:O

It looks good, I like teh idea of using what ya got. If we went out and bought all the material it would cost more than a store bought one. I was it Menards teh other day looking at tools and they had one for $59. I think Im getting close to that with my cart.

Attachment 4830Attachment 4831Attachment 4832Attachment 4833Attachment 4834Ok pretty much completed my cart heres some pics. Also threw in pic of shop I built with help of family and good friends. My cart is overbuilt it is a little heavy but it will do.:O

Looks good, very functional, better to over build than to have a flimsy cart. Shop looks great \, what size is it? If I had a shop like that the first thing Id put in it after 220v and a compressor is a car hoist.
-
Thanks shop is 40' deep and 50' wide with 2 12' rollup doors on front and 1 in back it has 200 amp panel 80 gal air compreser and a Foward 10,000 2 post lift. It was suppose to be for my golden years but my health kinda in crapper so I enjoy when I can.

I kinda like the welders on the bottom with the cart open on top like that. It could be used as a mobile tool cart if needed to.
