Ordered my PT200DX on August 21st and was quoted a 3-4 week lead time due to stock shipments. I'm not getting impatient, just VERY anxious and excited to get my new welder. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve who can't sleep because he's so excited. Would also like to coordinate ordering/buying of gas and tungsten so I can weld when it lands on my doorstep.
Since it's been 3 weeks is there any more detailed info on when the shipment is arriving?
Congrats on the new machine! "Kid on Christmas Eve" is a good description. This is the tech support forum, though, so you'll have better information calling the San Francisco office 800 number to get more detailed information. Best I can suggest in the mean time is source and order tungsten and consumables, gloves, etc. Then sharpen up your tungstens, and I was going to suggest watching TIG videos at WeldingTipsAndTricks.com- but you may already have TIG training and ability.

Oh, I know that feeling! The anticipation can get so thick, you can almost cut it with a knife! DaveO's advice is good. Depending on where you are ordering your tungsten and other supplies from, it might take a few days or more. Call the office to see where things are at. I think you'll want the supplies (except maybe the gas) in before the welder. Cheers and congratulations on your purchase!
