new to welding
ok here goes my name is travis i live close to kansas city iam going to build myself a reverse flow smoker i picked up a 7.5 ft long piece of 24 inch pipe that has 3/8 wall rest will be 1/4inch .....started looking on ebay and found a blue MultiPro 205 then today on craigslist here there is a green MultiPro 205 for specs look like it will do more then i would ever need i will be running it on a 220 50amp line iam also looking at the PowerUltra 205 on your website will these do what i need ? and what else would i need ? thank you for a great forum oh yes i have not welded in over 25 years

Welcome Travis. That would cut and weld up your smoker just fine. 3/8" wall is gonna be some stout smoker, for sure. Is this gonna be one of those trailer ones?
About the only other things you will need are consumables. Probably stick welding rods for that material. You could TIG it if you want, but that would be much more time consuming and a bit overkill. You may TIG up small parts like latches and hinges. If so you will need more bits and pieces for that, like tungsten, and a bottle of argon. Do you have any welding experience?
EDIT: You answered that last question. ;) What kind of welding did you do before?

i have a small argon bottle as for experience i took some classes and use to be able to lay a fair bead iam not in a big hurry would like to use smoker come summer time never tig welded but was ok with stick i also have a 110 wire welder and have used it pretty good
