Your right, there is not much going on here since the site has been screwed up. Pictures won't post and there are some features like edit that do not work. They are losing a lot of traffic here because of that. I still try to check in here though. I picked up a linda cm85 shape cutter and I am playing with it. I want to convert it to a plasma torch for thin parts like 1/4 - 5/8 thick. I will keep the oxyfuel setup for the thick stuff. I am just playing around. I do not want to drop a lot of money into a torch. I only paid 200 for the shape cutter. I picked up a faster drive motor for it so I can run a small diameter rotor on the tracer. It will not be like a CNC but I can not justify the cost of one of those. I usually only make a few parts at a time. Plus a lot of stuff I need is thick, like 1 1/2-2" so a plasma is not going to do that for me anyway. If I can't find a machine torch cheap I will make a head that will hold the hand torch. I want it to be quick to switch back and forth between plasma and oxyfuel. I am not in a hurry so I will see what come up. What have you been up to? Is your portable aluminum rig still holding up?
Well I decided to make an adapter to use my hand plasma torch. If anyone has a Trafimet s-75 hand torch they do not need I would still buy it to keep in the adapter. I probably have enough time in this adapter that I could have bought a torch.
