It's not recommended. The easiest thing to do is get some plastic fittings and tubing at your local home center to adapt the torch water connection to your garden hose. This will be a total loss system where you drain the water away from your shop. It only takes a tiny bit of water to keep it cool. Many commercial shops use this method.
Im going to build a cheap cooler. 5 gallon bucket and a pump of some sort.
for a super cheap total loss setup get a ice maker kit with long plastic line, adapt in, and let long line evac far away somewhere.
