Default Automotive Anti-Swaybar Bracket Repair/ Reinforcement

Found another old automotive welding project I wanted to share.

I had a rear anti-swaybar bracket on a car frame break, apparently from the original bracket not being strong enough for the stiffer aftermarket anti-swaybar. It broke on the edge where the bolt went through the bracket. The bracket material was simply not thick and strong enough.

So I not only weld repaired the crack, but I added a reinforcing piece of angle iron, that was approx 1/8" thick. I TIG welded it into place, and did the same on other bracket on other side. The reinforcement substantially increased the rigidity of the bracket, as applying force on the bracket by hand, it would not flex noticeably at all with the reinforcement added. As pictured, it still needed some paint to protect from corrosion.

That looks like you have some sort of lift kit installed. What vehicle is it on? Good idea in the reinforcement by the way.
