Thread: Slow at times?

    Default Slow at times?

Anyone else have problems with this board loading new pages REALLY slow or not at all at times? Sometimes I just get page not found.

I have seen the same thing. It appears to be a bandwidth thing as I was up in the middle of the night with my daughter (sick) and it was very fast. Busy times seem to take a toll. Sometimes the pages will load given enough time, and other times, it gives the same page not found.

It doesn't seem to matter for me what time of the day or night it is, or how many are on the board at the time. Its more of a random thing. Its fast right now. Was really slow before I started this thread. Its been this way for me even before the board upgrades.

I just got knocked off entirely, dead 'no connect page' page came up. I checked my speed [above] and it wasn't on my end. It was down maybe 2 minutes. No big deal, it was a first for me. Just posted for educational reasons.
I am out trying to 'find myself'. If I should wander back while I am gone, please tell me to sit quietly and wait for myself to return.

Only two members and 13 guests on here right now, and it took me 12 min. to post this.

PS. And a WHOLE LOT of spam posts . Even seen one new member with one post, welcoming another member to the board who is a regular poster, that has been here for 6 months already.

I also have been seeing the forum running slow. I have not seen it as bad as some of you. The worst I get it is taking about 30 seconds to load a page. I think one time it timed out but then was back to just a slow load right after.

yea, been getting alot of hangups lately, its odd, one click will run right thru, and open up almost imediately, the next you get a hangup.

Same with me. Sometimes lightning fast other times "page not found". It can be frustrating when you've just typed three paragraphs and they all got dumped when you try to refresh. LOL

I pay $40/month for 1.5meg down and 256 up and average about 300K down. Yours speed looks mighty fine to me.
