From what I see of Everlast's customer service, that is exactly what they are doing. And I'm sure that is not just my opinion.

Are you saying that Everlast couldn't do better? that there is no more room for improvement?

& just so we all understand, I am NOT referring to improvements in 'tech support', that 'business area' seems to be top shelf from my view.

I will admit that their "aftersales" communication could be better, regarding product availability dates and actual shipment. When I ordered my PP256 last year, I didn't get a tracking # when it was shipped until I called and asked if it had. This I did after learning that others had theirs(tracking #) from the same batch. But overall, they (Everlast) do seem to care about having and keeping satisfied customers.

BTW still no welder. I called today and guess what?!?! You guessed it, I got the voicemail LOLOL This is abso####inglutely rediculous that I do not have my welder back yet.
    The last email i received..
Your unit is still being worked on, as soon as the service center finishes it, your unit will be shipped out.
    Yea no kidding.. whens that?!?
I really hope I get this welder back soon, I am seriously pissed. Yes the welder worked great, when it worked.

    singlet,
As has already been pointed out, we were working with negotiating the new service center and sent them in one large shipment. When the deal went through, we shipped all the units directly to the service center. This created somewhat of a backlog and about a week transit time via freight...and the center began working on some fixes for the chipsets that were giving some trouble...Yes, it has taken some time...the center ordered additional parts from the factory and were airlifted to MN about a two week time there. From there, the center has been working on getting them out. It happens that unfortunately your unit was caught in this. Things are taking a little time, but customers are getting their units back as soon as they can. 2-21 until now is a little long, but I have friends that have sent a name brand unit to a "certified" shop for repair, have waited a little longer than that. Its not an excuse but hopefully it offers some perspective. As soon as things clear out, customers can expect much more expedited service.

I have a name brand unit that I havn't sent in for repair.. thankfully I have a spool gun to do SOME jobs.

Please find the exact status of my machine. Evidentally there no longer are humans picking up the shipping/tracking line. Sure as #### answered the sales line..

How would you rate their after sales service? For me, its the service that I get after the sale that tells me how good a company really is.

Just tracked it and it did ship.

Currently, I'd give the after sales service a 4. If it wasn't for Mike and Mark it would be zero. My hat goes off to those two. They are dedicated to the company and put in 110%. Hopefully the rest of the employees pick up the slack as well as hiring more competent people.

In Canada, you will be dealing with a different group. The owner is dedicated to personal involvement with the manufacture and inspection of his units. Spends weeks of hands-on time at the factory. Yes, in China.

Not saying better or not better. But different.

I used the plasma a ton, and it worked great.
I used the tig 2x, then had the HF problems. I thought it was my settings. Turned it off. Went inside to write down settings for the machine from welding tips and tricks. Came outside to use them but couldn't. The machine had froze up. It had no amp control and the guage was locked at a number higher the machine is rated at.
Mike called me after I called the tech line, diagnosed it, and said it would have to be swapped out. Come to find out now its being fixed and way behind schedule.
You guys need a location on the East Coast! This shipping the machine for warranty work is for the birds, especially after only using the machine a couple of times.

Lets see what customer service does to make it right.
x2 on that. Only used mine a handful of times and had to sent it back on my dime. Stupid thing caught on fire. Last I heard 6 days after someone there signed for it... they cant even find it.

Well I can tell you I had two calls with the Canada brand in the last two business days. Based on volume, that is about par.

    Hey Mike,

    Thanks for the folow-up.

Were these product or owner issues ?

Also, you get to fix the Canadian problems ?
I would have thought that they had their own service personnel. Maybe all one big family then.

    Cheers,

They do have their own service, but just as in certain times they back us up, we back them up.

They provide most of the diagnosis, and they have their own service center. But when they have been over things or have a customer that may leave them scratching their heads on a new issue, they do flip them occasionally to us.

One was owner issue. They are rare, Duncan's team handles them. But sometimes on a tough one I will get a call. Or if they call the US number. Seem one of them was in the US and bought from Everlast Canada.
