transferring photos from File upload manager to my Member Photo Gallery

I've got about 40 photos in uploaded into my Upload Manager Home. Is there a quick way to transfer most of these to my Gallery, or does one go thru the same upload procedure from my computer files in order to put photos in the Gallery?
