whats up with the dealer locator

Seems to pick random address and flags them as dealers. All 3 that show up around me look to be homes, so not sure if I want to drive on over and check them oust since there is no name or phone number listed

yeah I get the same type of flag but the one I get is at an elementary school. I wonder if they have evening adult ed classes.

I think the area was set up when the site was built but never had any data entered.

When I try it with my zip code, a cartoon balloon comes up with "Contact us at 1-877-755-weld(9353)". And, it's pointing to the middle of 50 acres of woods according to "satellite view".

If the dealer locator is not ready for prime time why not take it off line for now until it is ready for prime time. Otherwise someone might think everlast has shops all over the place, then when they need service and they stop on to a location given on the map but it turns out to be some crackhead hide out.

Actually, it seems like all locations have the same Everlast phone number. The arrow points to the middle of the zip code or city that is selected.

Even San Francisco has the generic phone number and that seems to be Everlast's home base - at least the shipping is done from there. Maybe it is a security thing and if you call the phone number they will hook you up with someone (AirGas?) local.

A few years ago my Dad bought a "Winpower" 12 KVA pto generator. We used it daily for about two months while framing his house. When we were nearly finished it stopped generating. The problem turned out to be a burned out diode.

After contacting Winpower we found out that their dealer, a fellow named Daryll, was in rural Washington not too far from us. On a Monday morning we drove out and found the address, it was a large dairy operation with the typical small older farmhouse. There was no Winpower sign anywhere.

After spending quite awhile knocking on the door and waiting, we finally drove over to the next farm, since we saw people moving around over there. We explained to this famer that we were looking for Daryll the Winpower parts man. He told us that we had the right house, but that we "Really have to raise heck with the door, Daryll was out dirtbiking yesterday and he'll be sleeping in"

We did as instructed and met Daryll, who was maybe 17 years old and rubbing sleep from his eyes. He took the info and in about two weeks our diode arrived in the mail!

Very strange transaction!
