Thread: PowerCool W300 Supplied Equipment

    Default PowerCool W300 Supplied Equipment

If I order a PowerTIG 250EX, PowerCool W300 and PowerCart 250 will the necessary equipment be included to hook the cooler to the torch? Didn't see a list of equipment shipped with the cooler. I would hope the only thing I would need is Argon, a plug and consumables.

The only things you will need separate is Argon, plug for the welder (plug comes on the cooler to plug directly into the 250ex), tungsten, and distilled water or coolant of your choice for the cooler. (I use distilled water in mine as it never freezes here.) The water lines on your torch will plug directy into the cooler with quick disconnects.

    Gerald,
That is what I was thinking. However, I would use a coolant with a freeze point below 0. Gets kind of cold here in Virginia and I will be keeping the machine in the garage (unheated). How long have you had your PowerTig 250EX? Any infant problems with it? How much do you weld with it every week? Still not completely sold on the Everlast yet. Been looking at the Lincoln PT225 and the Miller Syncrowave 200.

I look forward to being in a position to add a water cooler to my 250ex as well. I had some issues with my first unit (November shipment) that I was not able to repair on my own. My replacement unit (February shipment) has performed flawlessly!

Had an e-mail exchange with Mark today. The coolers use stainless steel and copper. So I am good with the Miller brand low conductivity coolant. The critical point is the low conductivity.

I did purchase the 250 ex and the wc300 and the cart. Although all connectors are supplied to connect the welder and cooler, the lines are not long enough to reach from the bottom shelf that the cooler sits on to the top shelf that the welder sits on. you will need to extend the lines. I have posted pictures and info on how i accomplished this in my gallery.
