Thread: 3-wheeled welder cart

    Default 3-wheeled welder cart

This is my work in progress. It had the mig welder on the bottom and the top has my stick welder. If I need to, I can move the stick welder and keep the plasma torch on it. It has 2-80 cubic feet tanks. one has 100% argon and the other C-25/75.

I plan on adding 3 or 4 240 volt plugs and better brackets to hold the tanks.

Even though it is a trike, its pretty stable. I would really have to try to knock it over.

Nice cart. Smart move on making it wide enough for two bottles to sit side by side. Are the rear tires pneumatic or solid construction? I couldn't tell by the picture,

    Default Nice cart

As I said, nice cart. OK I gotta ask, why 3 wheels instead of 4?

They are pneumatic tires. As for it having 3 wheels; I had 1 heavy duty caster giving to me and realized that it would be too expensive to buy 2 new or 1 that matched so I decided to see if 1 would work and so far, its been fine. I will add another if I come across another that is similar in size.

If I ever get around to it, I'm going to make a nice bracket to hold the tanks in a solid manor and I'm going to add 4-240 volt outlets with a 10 or 20 foot cord to it. I will add 3-50 amp and 1-20 amp outlet. Its really annoying having to constantly plug in different machines in the same outlet.
