He has made it clear that even though he has 15,000 square feet of shop space at the new place, not so much as a paper clip of mine will be allowed on the new property. To top it all off, there was 100+ feet of welding cables sitting on the back of the machine, which I took the time to move indoors. Some (*$$$* actually stole the cables out of the shop during the move. Hopefully he'll see the err of his ways, and let me have the machine. We'll see
That sucks.. Good luck, I would like to see this thing run.. My girlfriends dad was telling me about a old truck that his wifes grandfather had that had a flat head v8 in it that he was suppose to get. The day he went to pick it up, they had found out that is was stolen off the property.. Someone went through a lot of work to get it as it did not run from my understanding,

Hope you get things patched up with your dad, always a bummer when there are family squabbles, even moreso when a cool old relic like this is held hostage.
Penncrest Buzzbox - Infinite amp control! Man the 70's were good.
Everlast Powerplasma 60 - Reliable unit, cuts well.
Everlast i-MIG 250P w/spoolgun - Really smooth, plenty of cajones.
Everlast 250EXT - Sometimes it just takes a kick in the balls...
Everlast 255EXT - Just started playing

Yeah, My Brother (Mikeymetal) has a much better relationship with the old man that I do, But he has a new career that keeps him on the road most of the time, and he has lost interest in most of the things that we used to do together, one of which was intended to be doing this welder up as kind of a "brother to brother" activity. I almost get the feeling that my dad has pitted him against me (I can say this because he claims not to come on this forum anymore, so maybe if he does, it'll get a rise out of him and he'll CALL me!). But if that is indeed the case, I have plenty of neat projects that I can do without any of them, so to heck with them! It's just plain crummy, because there's nothing I can do to force the issue. I'll be actively trying to get this thing once I get better established, but until then, I'm on the hunt for a similar unit as far as AGE goes, if the price is right. Anyone who runs across something of a similar vintage, feel free to contact me.

Hooda, I know how you feel. My dad disowned me and disinherited me about a year or two before his death over absolutely nothing. That was over 10 years ago now. He made my mother sign a Will with him that left to me $1. The rest of the family was not allowed to speak to me or my wife while he was living for fear of their own disinheritance. It was all for naught though because my Mother threw out his will a few months after his death and returned to me what was rightfully mine. Family can get ugly at times but it usually works out. Still though it is a bad thing with long lasting scars.
