Thread: My favorite settings for various cuts, metals and thickness

  1. Lightbulb My favorite settings for various cuts, metals and thickness

    How about a post of settings you use for various things, in an intelligible format such as;

    Plasma or TIG
    Metal type
Flat or inside corner or outside corner or curve
    thickness
    argon flow or alternate gas
pulse settings ac or dc or reverse
    Pre flow post flow
    upslope down slope
    2t/4t

Some sort of setting for each dial

Some person better at this than me can make a quick format to use so we can easily get a good crack at saya s common as...an aluminum butt-weld. Or as obscure as a Magnesium pipe weld. There is lots of information to glean from the posts already here, but a 'favorite settings thread would be very very nice.

The settings can be used as a starting point as your mileage may vary, but it IS a starting point, and all in one thread.
I am out trying to 'find myself'. If I should wander back while I am gone, please tell me to sit quietly and wait for myself to return.

LOTS of scuba and vintage scuba equipment [I'm Always willing to trade or buy the stuff you think is too old to use]
Smithy XLT Mill/lathe [It was easier to learn than I thought, I'm no pro, but I can make a bearing hanger]

Jody (welding tips and tricks) touches on a few of these for the PP256, can't remember which video tho... I'll watch em and post up some quotes.

But his vid. on the PP256 is the reason I NEED one... may have to trade my wife for one. Wonder what Robert Redford is doing this weekend....
I'd like to think I'm the guy they are talkin about when they say, "he could F%^& up a cannon ball in a plowed field."
