had a sale on them a few weeks ago 9.99 each and I bought 4 of them, I have since opened up one and removed the ability for it to lock in the on position and moved the wire wheel to that one. BTW the infection in my leg is gone and it's healing up nicely. I also will be strapping on my leather apron over my legs regardless of how hot it is. I shudder thinking what that would have done had it been 2" to the right of where it landed if ya know what I mean?
I didn't look on ebay for you, but they make these plastic sheets that have water channels in them and a circulating pump. $50ish I think. They are for sleeping on but will cerainly keep your legs cool.
If you're up to it; many many years ago I built on of these for my brother-in-law because the shift work was killing him in the summer, having to sleep during the day. About 100 feet of vinyl hose, an aquarium pump, an icechest filled with ice, and Bill slept well and bragged on me to everyone that would listen.
I would imagine such a thing would be invaluable to a guy in a chair.
