I thought these pp256's had pulse built in..
I am beyond myself at this point..
The welder I sent in had pulse and it worked, but had a supposadly .30 chip failer..
The welder I received (different serial number) works great but pulse don't work..

That unit does have pulse.
I am not aware of a .30 chip in any of our machines? The welder I sent in had pulse and it worked, but had a supposadly .30 chip failer..
The serial number, you will have to call the main office, maybe it was faster send another unit out. But tech support would have no idea there. The welder I received (different serial number) works great but pulse don't work..
And as Mark asked, did you call tech support about the pulse?

FYI: PP50, PP80, IMIG-200, IMIG-250P, 210EXT and 255EXT.
It happened last night, so I didn't get a chance to call.. what's the direct number anyways?
I was trying to weld 1/8 aluminum square stock, making drop down bolster seat frames. The maching would only go down to 40, so I tried every possible setting on the pulse and it wasn't working.. I opted to just spoolgun it together w my miller. I looked at the panel and it says 5/20, which I thought was odd. I know the 5 is for plasma and I figured the 20 would be for stick/tig. After I finished the brackets I grabbed some 1/4 alum, and tried the pulse again. I put the machine higher, 150ish and tried all the pulse settings.. it evidentally isn't working. On my old machine, even tho it wouldnt HF or adjust heat the pulse worked perfect.. high low high low, faster slower, etc etc.
The chip I was referring to was what performance said was wrong with my machine.. the 2month hold up.
Can you guys feel my frustration? Now I have to send THIS machine back.
20 is for plasma. 5 is for tig.
Are you using the foot pedal? What are your settings.

It could be something as simple as a unplugged/ loose connector. You can call Mike, Ray or me on this. Don't panic, its more likely its something simple. You can call 877-755-9353. Ext 203 for Mike, 207 for Ray or 204 for me.
