Thread: PowerPlasma 60 constant flow switch does nothing?

I will open one by the end of the weekend. Sort of buried right now and this does not impact the units operation as a plasma cutter. Sounds like a plug off on the check gas though or a wire on the wrong post.

Ray, It is actually just the opposite the post flow knob seems to work in timed flow the same as it does in constant flow, it is the timed/constant flow switch that does nothing? I will PM you my s/n.
    Thanks Scooter
Bigworm and Ray, I guess in my old age I get confused, but I was cutting this morning and checked again, and my unit IS working just like Bigworms No matter where the dial is set when the switch is set to constant flow it only runs air for 4 to 6 seconds. Sorry about that, Scooter

I have the pp50 and it does the same thing. I did not anything in the manual about the switch making it flow non stop. I assumed that it just meant non adjustable flow time. My machine has the s45 torch. It works great, other than the occasional lack of an arc when pulling the trigger. It sometimes takes several pulls of the trigger to initiate the arc. Any ideas on that???
When opportunity knocks, most do not recognize it, because it shows up wearing overalls and looking like work!!

About the constant flow change in operation.....I have an idea this is related to the addition of the cnc port in the rear.

Mark; do you have a update on the constant flow switch yet?
    Thanks

Mike or Ray, any news on how we can fix our PP60 constant flow switch problem?

No word as of yet. Still waiting.

It does not impact the units operation if you want to use it.

If you need to set the air flow without the consant flow. Turn the post flow to max, tap the trigger, you have 30-45 seconds or more to set it. Then set the post flow back to where you like it.
