Thread: I-Tig 200 post flow "stuck"?

  1. Default I-Tig 200 post flow "stuck"?

    Any help is appreciated.

As of about a month ago when I take pressure off the foot pedal sometimes the argon flow will not stop and I have to bump the pedal again to stop the flow (on the rare occasion twice). I always hear the click of the switch on the pedal when the pressure is taken off the pedal. Would I be wrong to assume it may be the solenoid sticking/not functioning properly? When it does keep flowing, if I shut off the machine the gas flow does not stop either.

hook up the switch, and set the post flow to 0 and put it in 2t. Then tap the button and see if the gas stops, if not then you have a problem.

    zach,
possibly contamination in the solenoid seat or shaft. It can be cleaned out.
