Default Expected Line of Everlast Stick Welders

For all of those hobbyists and pros that need a primary stick welder, Everlast will soon bring out a line of DC IGBT inverter-based stick welders. They will feature hot start technolgy with infinite fine amperage control within the range. These welders are expected to feature commercial 60% duty cycles at their rated amperages.

We'd like to hear from you about your needs and expectations concerning a dedicated stick welder. Tell us what amperages, electrode sizes, features etc. that you would require. Feel free to list you needs or concerns in this thread. Your input is greatly valued and appreciated

If I was in the market for a basic stick welder....

    I would be looking for:

combination 120 volt and 230 volt input choice,
20 amps to 180 amps output,
    AC/DC output,
a simple rod diameter / amp reference chart silkscreened on the side of the welder,
a shoulder strap and carring handle,
capable of operation off of a generator power source,
include a simple hand held welding face shield or a basic welding helmet.

    Regards,
    John

I had an old MM135 MIG like that. The silk screen was nice (a sticker inside the MIG wire cover) for the 5-6 settings it had. It was not solid state so I could use a cheap generator to run it. And I would need a strap and handle to move that little thing.

    But all good points.

We are working on a couple new models. So hang tight.

    Hey, Just about perfect!

edit: reminds me of a Thermal Arc 95s. You could buy it in a suitcase with everything fitting inside.
