Thread: New Everlast owner in Kansas

  1. Default New Everlast owner in Kansas

Just wanted to say hello. My name is Chris Rose. I live in Salina, KS. I just recieved my Powertig 200DX today. I am impressed by the quality feel of the knobs and switches. Tonight I will get it all hooked up and see how it operates. I have owned a Miller Synchrowave 200 at home for the past 6 years and have been using a Miller Dynasty 300 at work for the past 3 years. I'm interested to give it a whirl and see how it compares.

A short background on myself, I build drag cars for myself and friends (and a customer or two here and there). My last project was helping a friend update his 1986 Mercury Capri. I welded up a new fuel cell and some weight bars. I'll update the project section as soon as I have a few extra minutes and access to my pictures. I have an upcoming build up of a 25.3 certified 1962 Ford Fairlane for myself so that will likely occupy a good portion of my time coming up.

    Thanks,
    Chris

Its a bit messy at the moment. I need to get a cart built to hold the welder, bottle and filler.

I am very happy with the weld quality. The pic below is the first test beads I ran last night. Pardon the one "whoops I forgot the gas" on the left. The odd looking ones at the bottom are from a friend using my Synchrowave a while back. I would say that it welds just as nice as the Dynasty 300 we have at work. Definitely better than my Synchro 200.

Hey Chris, welcome to the board. Just one question for you.... Can you say, "Go Tigers!"? Just a friendly welcome from a Missourian. You made a great purchase.
