Nice forum, nice looking welding machines.
I am looking at upgrading from a lift start, DC TIG set-up to a new machine: AC/DC TIG machine or maybe a 3-in-1 TIG unit.
    Regards,
    John

    Welcome JJW,

We have a very well rounded selection of products, all solid IGBT based machines.

With the AC you'll be able to add aluminum to you talents? Are you looking for a plasma cutter built in the unit?

If you have any questions let us know.

I'm just not sure if I'll go AC/DC Tig with the built in Plasma cutter.

Doing some research on the 3-in-1 machines, their controls and features.

Looking to see what features you lose/trade-off compared to a stand-alone high end AC/DC TIG with high freq. start.

The advantages and disadvantages are from a persons perspective. I myself like stand alone units. If something goes down, you still have the use of the other unit while the other is down.

But the convenience of an all in one machine cannot be denied. It is a great and economical alternative to buying two completely separate machines.

If you are looking for a compromise in a combination unit for features, you will not find it at Everlast. With the Powermaster series, you retain nearly all of the functions of the PowerTig LX series.

Then, you have either a 50 or 60 amp plasma cutter depending on whether you purchase a 205 or 226.

My favorite is the PowerTig 250 EX. It has every feature and control you can dream of.
But of course, it is missing the plasma cutter.

If you have the money and the space, go with the stand alone units.
If you don't, the combination units offer unparalled features and quality that our competition cannot.

I also favor the stand alone systems. I have a 250 EX on order and hope to get a plasma soon.
