Oleg has inidcated that the 250EX's should start shipping this week. Man, it's been a long wait. Hope this unit is a lot better than the Lincoln PT225 I could have hand in 3 days.

Contacted Everlast today and was told that the 250EX's are being unloaded as we spoke. They should start shipping this afternoon. Maybe Christmas is finally here!

When I called for a status I was told they were being unloaded as we spoke. It seems that we customers get different answers depending on who we talk to. Just give me the correct status of the goods. Honesty will do more to build a company that even a little smoke and mirrors.

I was told "unloading at our dock." To me, that would mean my place of business such as my receiving dock.

Progress at last. Finally received a shipment notice for a scheduled delivery on 1 August. The bad thing now is I will be on travel for work when the welder arrives.

Tracking for mine says the Departure Scan was done at 1am today. Does this mean that an Everlast worker dropped the thing off very late last night? If so we need to cut these people a little slack, they are obviously overloaded with orders.

It's tempting to do the bad kid at Christmas thing and scream "I Want, Iwant, I want!" . Although during the waiting period I did this privately, also kicked my heels on the floor until it hurt, plus I held my breath until my face turned red, but no one seemed to care.

Anyway, about one month from order to arrival, not bad at all considering the saving by preordering. Most of us have another welder or three lurking about for use while the dream machine is on it's way.

Mine left yesterday. That is the 250EX left. No departure date on the cart or the cooler. Currently, the only thing I have is the little MIG and the old AC225. Waiting on the TIG!

Received the 250EX today as scheduled by UPS. Didn't receive the cooler and cart that was orded at the same time. There was UPS shipping documents generated for these on the same date as the 250EX. So, called Everlast and was informed that the cooler and cart would not be received for another 1 1/2 weeks. Why keep a customer in the dark? Why can't they send an order status when they have already taken our money? If I had known that it would take over two months to get a full unit I would have went to Lincoln. It would have cost a little more but, I would have had it in three days from order to door!

as bad as it sounds it looks like they are getting better, I waited a lot longer. Plus from watching the site Mark and Oleg do post up some eta's

If the units were not in stock and you generate a shipping document with UPS. It gives the customer the impression that the units are awaiting pickup by UPS. Wouldn't you agree. Only to find out that it will be another 1 1/2 weeks before the ships gets in, a few days to receive them and process. Then another week for shipment to Virginia. So, I am looking at three weeks before I get the cooler and cart. I could make it without the cart. However, the cooler is needed to run the torch over 80 or so amps. I know I could use a garden hose. But, I bought a cooler so I would have everything on a cart and be portable in the garage.

People in business still don't understand the value of simple communication. This is not a problem that only Everlast has. It is my impression that most businesses do this poorly. However, it would do a small company like Everlast a tremendous amount of good to do pay close attention to these small things. Until they can pinpoint an exact date that units will be in stock and communicate effectively with their customers, they will continue to put people off.

So, I now have 30 days of free shipping to return the unit if there is a problem. No, to fully test the unit to full capacity on the TIG function I will need the cooler. The cooler, at best, will be at my door in three weeks. That is Labor Day weekend (on Vacation). So, it will be past the 30 day period before I can fully test the unit out. I know that I can test it to 250A using SMAW. However, this won't fully test the unit. It would be nice to have a full 30 days from the date I receive the complete outfit (welder and cooler)!

I spent several years in the service industry and owned my own electronics business. I had to contact every customer that had units in for service once a week to personally give them an update on the status of their repair. It was part of our customer care. Personal contact on the phone with the latest update on their repair, status of their part if it was awating parts. With my own business, I had face to fact with every customer at least every week on the route. Yes, it takes time. Yes, the customer would see the personal touch and I received a lot of repeat business. So, customer care pays off in many ways.

In these cases when something isn't available immeditately we make exceptions. But you do need to read the return policy. Free shipping on return IS NOT included. We have made this clear here before. The customer returns the unit at his expense and we refund the balance, minus 10%. Its in our terms a policy posted clearly on our site. IF there are genuine failure with the machine, we refund the full amount of the purchase cost and shoulder the cost of shipping.

IF you need to weld with the torch, then do so. IF there is an issue with the torch before you receive your cooler, then we can ship you a new torch.
