Default Editing thread title- my thread

How does one change a thread title?

I posted a project but neglected to put the title in the proper format, ie Project #4, from Worntorn. After editing the title there was no change to the thread title, only to the subject title on the post itself.

I'm not seeing any "Quick Edit" or "Go Advanced" buttons. For Replies there is a "Quick Reply" and an "Advanced" option, but for "Edit Post "there is only one choice , which is the full meal deal.Everything except the title in the main index can be changed from there, including the title on individual posts.

But maybe I'm still looking in the wrong place.

he's talking about where it says GO advanced, i didn't even think about editing it there. most forums dont allow you to edit your own title

looks like the Edit of the main title in the index is possible for the OP for a period of time after the initial post, but after awhile it cannot be changed.

the only "Go Advanced" option I can find is for a reply to a post or thread, nothing for editing one's own post or, in this case, thread title.

Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.

Just not coming up with it, there is no "Advanced" or GO Advanced on the first post, which is the only lonely post in the thread. The strange thing is, I did edit a title the other day right after posting. Is it possible this action is only available for a short time period after the initial post?

I can do that as well, but that doesn't make any change to the original main title which shows up on the Forum title list page.
I just edited this title on the first post to add a dash where the comma had been. The main title listed on the Forum kept the comma.

you need to click edit first, then the 'go advanced' button shows up under the 'quick edit' box. the 'go advanced' button in edit mode brings up the basically the same screen as 'going advanced' when making the post the first time, you can change the title, add/remove attachments, ect.
