Makes sense. Could be how it was spec'd out. The original proto 60C's were tested at the factory were all 3 phase. Duncan may have received them in full 3 phase and we ordered them in 1 phase, but as they are designed they can be run either way so they send them out to us wired for both.

VERY NICE. I wish I had 4 or 5 grand in disposable funds because I would really like one of the torchmate / PP60C combo's. It would really come in handy on the ranch.

    hi guys

Since torchmate is testing the pp50 as well I have a question regarding the CNC port. I had first purchased the PP60(HF start) but the grounding issues eventually had me ask Duncan(thanks a mil!!!), who agreed, to switch me to a PP50 which I picked up today.

Now the manual shows the exact same CNC switch connections for the PP60 and PP50 so I already had the wiring done and working with the PP60. Tonight however when I hooked up the PP50 I expected it to just work but no go on the torch firing through Mach3. I just assumed the CNC port was wired to allow for no further modifications required.

So my question is does the S45 torch need additional wiring done for it to work since the A81 torch worked perfectly? Has torchmate wired the PP50 through the CNC port?
    ************UPDATE**************

It works now!!! - after getting out the multimeter I found one of my wires for the torch fire had come a bit loose presumably when I removed the PP60.

The attached cut is with 16ga steel at 20amp with 60psi - I miss the size of the 60 but this little unit packs a punch as well
