    Default Project 2 SeanMurphy265, Welding Cart do-over

I am not finished, but I will post some more pics later tonight or tomorrow. I never actually finished my welding cart; I built a usable skeleton, and now I have decided I want something more portable. I purchased a Northern Tool dolly on sale, and planned to build my cart from that. When I finish the cart will not look all that great, because I am going to re-use all the metal from the original cart. I will try to clean it up when I am finished, but the cart was built from scrap and small pieces.

    Original unfinished cart.

All the metal cut of the dolly.

This will hold my mig welder, I still have more support to add. I hacked up the old one, and made this one smaller to fit my welder. I want the welder and bottle to be side by side. I will add some front legs and re-use my old castors. It would take a big nose dive right now!

Used my Power Arc 200 with 7018 3/32"

Still learning the settings, but overall I have been very impressed with this machine.

Had a chance to finish it up today, still have to clean up and paint. Considering it was from pieces of my old cart, and I spent no money I am happy.

I don't have a shop so I keep everything in a storage building. This tends to roll across the yard better than a cart.

After I finished, I wished I had lowered the welder platform about 5-6 inches, but it works good for what I need.
