I had to make rear sets for the Egli-Vincent I'm building. The rear wheel is from s Suzuki GSXR. The GSRX brake is on the right hand side, the Egli is on the left because of the way a Vincent motor is designed.
So it was a case of fabbing something up that would put the footpeg and brake lever in the correct postion for comfort and provide mounting for the hydraulic brake cylinder plus the brakelight switch.
The brake lever was milled out of a 3" square piece of billet. It matches the gear lever I made for the other rear set on the other side of the bike. Other pieces were carved out of stainless, except the footguard, which is aluminum. Everthing will get the full polish treatment once the fabrication work is completed.
Mark said it would be OK to repost a project provided there was new information included. The brake side rear set is new, made it last week. Will do the final welds once I am 100% certain that it is in the best position for comfort and usage.
Rather than repost the rest of the project, here is a link to the thread which shows all of the work done on it up to the brake rearset-
