Re: Impressions of Everlast PowerMig 200
I just received this welder yesterday and hooked it up today to weld with it. I must say that I am impressed. Very nice and the arc force option, brilliant, love the fine adjustment. Though some of the included parts were missing. Otherwise I am totally satisfied. This welder comes with an infinite adjust (potentiometer) for voltage control, no other welder in this price range has that. All others that I know of for $700 or less has tap settings wich dont lend well to fine adjustment and to top it off the arc force adjust makes it even better. Now if it lasts as long as my Harbor freight unit it will be a real bargin as I've had that one for years. I have attached some pics of my first 2 welds out of the box with this welder. It is 1/4 in steel and as you can see I didnt even clean or prep it for welding. The first weld was a little hot and the second weld after adjust was even better. The pics are not the best as they are from my cell phone but you can see the weld well enough.
