Longer cables

For an upcharge, will you supply a new machine with 25' cables/hoses rather than the 15' set if the customer makes the request on order?

I find the 15' cables on my 205 a bit short sometimes, especially if I want to step outside to do some plasma cutting or stick welding in order to keep the smoke/fumes out of the shop.

With the multifunction machine I am often doing a combo of tig welding indoors and cutting or stick welding just outside the door while leaving the machine cart just inside the door, so 25' cables would work great for this.

If I had to guess, I would say they come on the boat as a package and opening the boxes to swap cables out would create an inventory problem with the short cables piling up as folk ordered the longer ones as there would be no real use for them.

I ordered 25' of 2ga, cut it in two and spliced mine. I wish I had ordered 40'.

That'll work for the stick function, but the plasma + tig require more connections to be extended. I think the answer is a longer set of hoses/cables, then the air , argon and electrical connections are all lengthened too.

No we do supply longer torches upon request, but at a substantial upcharge, since you are buying them, and not "swapping" out, and they are first come first served. So I guess the answer is a yes and no and kind of. We don't provide longer work clamp cables or stick cables for purchase currently, because that material is readily available.

I was hoping the 15' plasma and tig hoses could be "swapped out" for 25' before I receive the new machine. Is this something you do?

Ground and stick are no problem, I can add on to those or make up some new longer cables.

Im not sure about the plasma cutter but you can probably get away with the tig torch by buying on from weldingdepot for about $50 and then using the right connections. Everlast just said they do but at a substantial charge so you would probably have to consider how much a new torch would be rather than having everlast getting you one

I've ordered the longer tig torch, 25 foot instead of 15 foot, extra cost $70 and well worth it for me.

The plasma was not available in the 25 foot this shipment, I guess some were ordered but did not show up with the welder shipment.

This is the Trafimet plasma torch so the extra for the 25 foot , had it been available, would have been about $150 +-. Even if it had been available I would probably pass on that one.
