Thread: Restored a old single poll air lift

  1. Default Restored a old single poll air lift

Someone gave us an old NAPA air lift since it was going for scrap. Did not take picture of the rust. It was bad. It now looks nice and I use it to lift golf carts to work on them or add lift kits.

    Hi, Sean-
I recall an earlier post that said you were moving- hope that went well. And I saw you updated your website to show the new location. Are you doing anything special to get into the mobile welding market there?

That lift is pretty cool.. Whats the weight limit on it? My girlfriends uncle has a modified golf cart at his lake house that we use to run to the convienent store and trash runs.

    Jason,
Not really sure, I have had 1200 lbs gas golf carts on it many times. I was told it was use to lift cars and truck to change two tire at a time. My Dad and I am going to lift his cart next as I sold all the ones I had. Will post pictures when done but will look like my last-favorite one I had.
I have the lift for sale on craigslist. Bought a nice speed jack but the pole lift will go pretty high.

That was one of my thoughts, perfect for tire rotations or if your lifting all 4 corners of the car off the ground to put it on stands. You could one side and then the other without doing each corner.

Funny I never thought about it doing all 4 sides. maybe I will keep it. Had it on CL but everyone wants it free.

OMG, that is something I have been waiting for to fall into my lap too, those are handy units, I recall using one years ago and it was quite powerfull. It mad short work of lifting a 1/2ton truck up and getting it on stands that's for sure! Nice looking unit you got there.
