Project 5 from d3javoodoo ( DiY tig torch cooler)

So I finally got around to finishing a cooler for my tig..... all together it only took around 9.5 hrs. considering all the trips to p/u parts. The total did not exceed $150, I p/u the pump for $40, various radiators from a local junkyard for $40, a 1 gal res/ cooler for 8 bucks, & all the correct fittings for around $55, & maybe $10 in fuel...

What GPH pump are you using? Did you base the size off commercial units, GPH, or did you go higher?

Is that one of the Harbor Freight pumps? Does it stay primed on it's own in a system like this? Thanks!

My son has the HF pump that looks like that one. And he has to prime it. Not sure if that is the same pump though.

Pump should be the lowest point in the loop to prevent drain back, your reservoir will maintain prime.
