Thread: Added a foot to a small trailer

  1. Default Added a foot to a small trailer

A friend had a small 6x7 trailer and wanted to add a foot to the back. Nothing fancy and took a couple hours. Did it after that sword I posted. It was a pop-up camper and we flipped the axle for him to. The picture makes the U bolts look crooked but they are not. Bent the side channe; parts on the brake and use angle for the rest. Will not go on the road it for building to carry a water tank and presure washer. Done with IMIG-200.

Once again that Mig 200 seems so versatile!! May I ask what welding parameters you used/ thickness of steel??

The metal is thin it was like 1/8". added 3/32" and 1/8". Ran around 16-17+ volts did not see amps cause it only show that when I weld. I like the volts better. IMIG-200 is awesume. I started painting it last night will upload picture later today after I get more paint. My Dad was tupset I broke the jack. it would not go up as far and I wanted and I cranked until stuck. He wanted me to cut around the top fix it and tig it back but he calmed down so I did not have to yet.
