can someone confirm if it is 1/2" or 3/8"?
can someone confirm if it is 1/2" or 3/8"?
I believe the official size is on the side of the connector. It'll say something like 25mm2 x 50 mmm2 or something like that. I believe their have been two sizes used on the units by the factory. You'll have to rely on the unit itself. I don't have any new ones to look at and confirm.

We use two sizes on our units.
Larger units like the 225LX, 250EX and 256 are 1/2". On smaller units, like the IMIG 200 (I did not have a 205 to check) it's 11/32 (.35 or 9mm)

I got around to measuring my 205 dinse connector and it is 11/32. I'm in the process of ordering a CK torch from arc-zone.
Based off a little research, my understanding is that there is only two standard sized Dinse connectors. So does that mean that Everlast uses a non standard sized dinse? or is my method of measuring the connector incorrect?
Which part of the connector is actually being measured, the male portion?
I noticed that on my dinse connector its stamped with INNP10-25, if that means anything.
Sounds like you have the 25mm2 Mark mentioned. That is the smaller one. I measured the males for the numbers in my last post.

There's way more than two sizes. Size corresponds to amps.

Hi Mark.
Thanks for the links.

Mark,
Very informative links, thanks!
good links, mark. there are only 2 sizes of dinse on either, though. many styles, ect, but only 2 sizes of stud. from what I've seen in 'the wild' most machines use the larger size. none of the welding supplies around here stock the small ones. the small dinse plugs on the I-MIG200 need to be drilled out (for length, not diameter) to fit a standard 11/32" dinse plug in it, though. where the 1/4 turn slot is in the socket is too close to the end. I think I needed to drill it about 3/16" deeper for the weldcraft dinse plug I bought for the tig torch to fit in the hole. the supplied plug still fits, though.
additionally, I have no idea where the 25mm and 35/50mm designators come from. they might be circumference, but they certainly arent diameter. the LENCO page lists the proper diameters in mm.

Its got to do with cable size.
There ARE more than two sizes. They have different lengths of studs. The 70 is longer than the 50.
