Thread: Not sure if this is to be here or somewhere else on this site......

Default Not sure if this is to be here or somewhere else on this site......

    So I'll ask this question.

Are there covers that can be bought for the different Everlast machines?

I made some out of corduroy and they look OK but I would really like nice green covers for my PowerPlasma 50 and Powertig 250EX with Everlast on the side.

Are there any covers like this available?

They would be nice to keep the dust off them!

No, no covers yet, though we need them.

Covers would be nice, especially for the occasional home user that probably has the welder sitting for the large majority of the time.
Might have to make one for mine :-)

Lacking anything else my current cover for my everlast is a large trash bag. My cover for my Bobcat is a large "cheap" vinyl shower curtain. (I refuse to pay Miller $125 for a cover).

How about a welding jacket to cover the unit. Works.

The right shower curtain will even have magnets to hold it in place! I wonder if cutting the vinyl to fit and then melting edges together would create a strong enough seam, maybe cut it oversize and turn it inside out for aesthetics. The right box turned upside down over the machine would beat $125 for the OEM unit.

Yeah! A black leather jacket with a big "Everlast" on the back and a small "Everlast" on the front.

I would definitely get one. Hey Everlast.....what about it? I bet you could make some money and get free advertising. Miller does it. So does Lincoln.

As far as the covers go, I use my machines quite a bit. But I like to cover them when not in use because there is all kinds of dust floating around my garage and I want to keep the dust off and out of my welders. I even waxed my welders to allow for a quicker clean up if any dust decides to land on them.

Default Here's a shot of the covers for my welders

I bought some cordoroy (?spelling) from Wal Mart and also some 3M spray adhesive.

I cut it to size for each welder and then folded it. I then sprayed the folds and let it set up.

So far, it has worked out pretty good. I often have to blow out the garage with all the leaves and dust and such and the covers really do a good job of keeping the welders dust free.

It would be nice to have a set of covers with "Everlast" on the sides. These will have to do for now I guess.Click image for larger version.

Mine has magnets but they are really weak ceramics so they don't provide much holding power. The thicker vinyl can be sewed quite easily on a sewing machine then turned inside out to provide a somewhat nice usable cover. I have not yet found one in "Everlast Green" though.

A cover might be a good idea. I have not thought about getting one but it has been awhile since I used my welder as I have been really busy and it has started to collect quite a bit of dust and dirt. I still need to figure out what I want for a cart to though.

Yup, same here for me. The black jacket idea sounds good, but sometime I weld outside a lot and it would be too hot for me.
