Cool Beginner welder from South Carolina

Anthony is the name and located in SouthCarolina. I'm new to the welding experience but already I've saved $$ doing some of those small projects and repairs around my home. I took some continuing education welding classes on TIG and MIG already and will start a stick class in September so I know it all...."Yea Right". On my first project, which was a welding table, I learned how heat will draw the steel in one direction or another. I laugh every time I look at the crooked legs on that table. My current equipment includes a Miller 211 MIG machine, a bottom of the line import stick welder I picked up at a local auction (this will get an upgrade soon), and will take delivery of a Everlast powerpro 50 plazma cutter hopefully on Tuesday. I look forward to the exchange of experience and ideas.

    Anthony

welcome to the group, the difference between an noobie and a pro is mostly practice and a few common sense smarts, I think you will like your pp50.

    Thinman100,
Spent about three years of my life in your area. I was stationed at Charleston back in the early 80's. I haven't been back since I caught my last ship out of there in '87. I have heard that thinks have really changed in Charleston area since then. Don't miss the heat and humitdity on the river in the summer time. I do miss the fresh shrimp!
