  1. Default Torch wont arc

I am sorry it has taken me so long to try out the new torch and get back to you but I have been having to haul hay from Kentucky and Alabama to Texas. The new torch you sent me will not arc. The air blows when you push the trigger but nothing else happens. I changed back to the old torch and it will not arc either unless you loosen the electrode slightly. Then it will arc but the arc goes every which way. What now. Also please send your customer service number again. Thieves smashed the window of my truck and stole my laptop so I lost all my info. Thanks, Fom

Is this a plasma cutting torch or TIG torch? Make sure the work clamp is in the + port on the machine and the torch in the - (minus), either way.

You can call us at 877-755-9353

Sorry about the truck. We have seen better days and I pray they come again.

It is a Supercut 50. The ground will only go one place on this plasma cutter and all the connections are tight. Fom

What's your air pressure? to supply the machine, and to the torch while operating?

In have my air compressor at 125psi but the regulator on the unit I have tried all the way from .2 to .6 on the metric gauge as per instruction. Fom

    Please download your manual here:
    http://www.everlastgenerators.com/do...Plasma%202.pdf

Supply should not be more than 80-90 psi. Operating pressure should only be 60-65 psi. Your gauge reads in psi as well...

I called the 9353 number but I didn't do ext 204. Yes the air on the unit itself is set at 65psi. The reason I was referring to metric is because that is what the owners manual I downloaded said. Mark at one time told me to call a number to get a shipping label but when I told him it would arc if you loosen the electrode we agreed it sounded like a torch issue so Katya sent me a new torch. now it wont arc at all. I have installed another pressure regulator on the air line. The supply is at 80 and the regulator on the unit is set at 65psi. I will call again. Thanks for your attention. Bill

Fom I wrote the manual for the current series online. From my recollection, there is no mention of metric in them. http://www.everlastgenerators.com/do...Plasma%202.pdf. It may still be fine and the points need adjusting. Mike or Ray can walk you through this 5 minute check before you go through the trouble of sending it back.

I'm sorry I misquoted you Mark. The metric reading is on the little instruction paper that came in the box with the machine. I read the one you wrote and you are correct. I downloaded yours and put it in a three ring binder for reference. I will call mike when I find a spare minute. Thanks, Fom
