Thread: 250EXT Questions

    Default 250EXT Questions

Aside from the front panel and flash memory for presets, what are the differences between the new 250EXT and the 250EX.
Please give as much detail as possible on the 250EXT design and function.

    zoama,
We have covered this several times on the forum, but for convenience I'll answer again.
    1) EXT has digital control. EX does not.
    2) EXT has AC amplitude (bias) control EX does not.
    3) Some settings on the panel are have a slightly broader range.
    4) The units are completely different internally.
    5) Minimum amp start is 3 vs 5-7 amps on EX.

Stick welding function is better as well. The unit is much larger and the case has casters.Click image for larger version.

Thanks, I searched first and didn't find much. I like the technical stuff also, I'm no stranger to electronics. (I'm a geek)

Feel free to post a bunch of pics. I'm looking forward to winning one.
