Thread: Quick connect gas fitting

    Default Quick connect gas fitting

Does anyone know if Everlast sells the quick connect male barbed gas fitting that are on the factory torch? I went through the complete online catalog and could not find them. I may have possibly missed them.

I am getting a gas cooled CW torch and I already scavenged the fitting from my factory 18 watercooled torch for my Weldtec 20F so I'll need a few of them for other torches I'm going to get.

Note: I found that Oriely's Auto parts have small spring clamps that are great for fitting over the smaller hoses to keep them attached. They look good and also are less intrusive as the small band clamps that are often too big to fit over the smaller hoses.

Here's a photo of the fitting and the clamps I am talking about........

No toes stepped on, not even close. I'll send a customer elsewhere for something myself. Not a problem...Idea is to provide the best service possible even if it means recommending another product.

How much do you sell them for here? And any other sources of these? I don't want to order from welding-direct.com since theres a minimum order quantity and I'm looking to spend a crap load of money on a small part. Is it just a basic air quick connect with a 1/4 barb? If so is it an automotive quick connect or an industrial quick connect.

welding direct has them, they are 2.29 each. trouble is you need to place an order of fifty dollars. grainger and mcmaster carr only sell them for1/8th and 1/4 id hose. i had to buy them from this vendor. if i hadn't needed quick connects and another stinger i would have been trying to do something with arc zones female l/h connector to a ???? get the picture. big pain in the axx for a small necessary item.

Scootarida, you will have to call in and order. Arc zone does carry them. Scheffer had them made up from them if I remember right. But if you want to order them from us, they are not too terribly expensive, but you'll pay standard shipping charges...so you'll need to add that too.
Just use ext 202. tell them you need the argon quick connect.

I might try and order it from McMaster. Does anyone know what the dimensions of A and B are according to this picture of the argon fitting that is supplied with the everlast torch?

I do not have my welder on hand since I am at school but i want to assume that A=3/8" and B=1/16" but I'm not to positive

B has a slight taper, and is about .324" at the shoulder of the retainer ring (left side of photo), and a bit less at the very end (right).
A is about .100", give or take a couple thousandths.
