Hi, I'm MigPlazArc. I started welding a few years ago and weld occasionally. Over the last few years I've done a few projects including: Welding angle pieces from fat steel, welding small framework etc. I love to weld whenever I get a chance.

Well, I use my dad's 120 amp Hobart. I would love to get a Power I-MIG 160 or 200, but They are out of my price range for now...

If you can swing it, the IMIG 200 will have a little extra power. I have used both and they will run on a 5500+ watt generator with no problem. Add flux core .030 and you are mobile.
Don't get me wrong, the 160 is nice, just for a little more money the extra power will allow a little thicker jobs and a little better duty cycle. When you order, ask for Oleg, tell him you are an active forum member, if we have plenty in stock, I know he will work you a good deal.

Thanks. I was leaning towards the 200, but the extra $100... Anyway, thanks for your input. I'm the half owner of a SuperCut 50. We've actually cut like 1.125" steel before with it lol! Of course it wasn't a very pretty cut...But it did it! Makes great cuts when you are cutting the recommended thickness. I'd have to give it a 5/5 rating.

Yes our 50 amp cutters are very impressive. I used the 50's and 70's for years.. Last couple years I have used the 60. Happy middle. Miss the 50 due to size and the 70 with the extra power.
I have done 1" with the SC50 and nice. You have to bump the air, move slow. It does really well. Mark and Duncan have done 1.25" many times. But after 1/2-3/4" you might have some grinding to do.
