ID:	3317Hello All,
Been a while since I have posted. I really just don't get much time to be on the forum. Here are a few pictures of my projects. The 55 Tbird and a 65 AC Cobra rep. I'm still using my 250 tig and the plasma and still loving them. I hope to be firing up the 420HP small block in the cobra soon. I have started the body work and should have it complete for early spring. The bird has racked up over 3000 miles this summer and is a blast to drive.
    Cheers,
    Wayne

Sure is looking good! What do you have in the Cobra? Chrysler 331 or maybe Ford 260 High Performance? But I haven't ever seen anyone get 420 HP out of an engine with less than 327 small block. The 327 ci had ALL the major tunes: rods, rockers, cam. And he was using a nitro boost. He made 437HP on a engine dyno. Not a wheel dyno.

    Thanks for posting pictures Wayne

Default We need more info on these beauty's!!

Tell me more! The two things I'd like to know most are which manufacturer's kits are being used for each kit, and what engines are you using. I can't tell for sure if that's a real y-block in the bird, but if it is, cool!! The snake looks like maybe a small block chevy? I consider myself a purist in the sense that I believe that a ford based vehicle should have a ford based powerplant, and anything else is sacrilege, but I guess that's all up to the builder. On the top of my bucket list is to build a cobra replica, but not just any replica. I want to do a real aluminum body. In fact my previously misguided impression that the original aluminum cobra bodies were TIG welded together is what motivated me to take action and actually start learning the TIG process, which led me to EVERLAST!! It wasn't until recently that I discovered some old pictures of guys at the old AC factory actually torch welding the panels together. Apparently torch welding aluminum was the way it was done until the heliarc process was invented. Anyway, NICE CARS!! I'd really like to see some pics of the welds you have done on the cars with your 250. Thanks!

Very nice I know everybody here will think I am wacked. My questions are about the dart in the background it looks like 1969. Is it a gts or swinger 340 or 225 auto or 4 speed. Nice shop and group of cars.

I have an engine that is slightly under 80 ci and it makes 484hp at the rear wheel :-)

Any day on a motorcycle like this that ends just needing parts and labor is a good day.

HAHA!! Goof You know exactly what I'm talking about. But I hear ya on that one! 484 HP at the wheel you've probably got 500+ at the flywheel.....? It's amazing how much power you can squeeze out of a bike engine.

Yeah, and mine isn't even pushing it. There are many that are well over 550hp.

BTW Wayne's World, that T-bird is nice!

Holy Moly! How many cylinders? Displacement? And what was the original engine? HD, Honda, Kawi, Suzi, or Yamaha?

You weren't kidding when you said beautiful creation! Thanks for the link. But, in the interest of staying in topic, I'm still waiting for more details and pics of Wayne's awesome cars. You out there Wayne?

Took me a while to get back here. Thanks for the kind words about the cars. The 302 in the cobra is well built full roller with a set of AFR 185 heads fully ported, 10.5:1 cr. It will twist up to 7k with no worries. I have been busy working on other things too. I am finishing up an old Deere 6x4 Gator that I restored and may be building a CNC plasma cutter next.
