What is an Avatar? Thanks Mickey

This is part of entering a contest but I don't know what or how an avator works. Thanks

An avatar is the little picture next to your name on a post. You can find the place to add one by clicking on "Settings" near the top right corner of the page once you are logged in then looking in the list of items on the left side of the page you are taken to when you click settings. Avatars have to be a certain size (very small, for example my avatar is 78 by 78 pixels in size) so you may have to take your intended avatar picture into a program such as paint and resize it to the proper size for uploading.

Normaly you click "reply with quote" on the person's post whom you want to answer.
