Default New to Everlasting and the forum

Hello. My names David and I just ordered a powertig 225lx with a stand. Over the last few years (5 or so) I've tought myself to weld with a mig welder and do some basic machine work. So far, I've made a trailer, powder coating oven, a bunch of targets for my range, some custom motor cycle parts, some custom gun stuff and a quick attach for my tractor. There is just something about working with metal that I really enjoy.
I'm really looking forward to having more control over my welds with my new tig and contributing to the forum as I progress. I've got a handful of projects already lined up for this winter to help pass the long dark days.

It's 6'x3'x3. It was a lot of fun to make and works great. I'm going to post some pictures and materials list to the projects forum pretty soon.

What do you heat it with and what is your maximum temperature? Will be watching for those pictures!

It's heated with 3 oven type elements totaling about 24 amps at 220v. There is also a convection fan to keep the temperature in the oven even. It will get to 500 degrees thought I haven't needed that for any of the powder coating I've done. Typically all I need is 375 - 425.
It is thermostatically controlled, so there is not need to manually maintain it.
