Thread: Extra Flow Gauge? (PP256)

    Default Extra Flow Gauge? (PP256)

    Hi everyone,

I just received my PP256 today, and I've been going through the parts/consumables kit to sort out what everything is. The only item I can't find a home for is what appears to be an extra, ball-type flow gauge. See the attached picture; I've placed it next to the Ar regulator/flow gauge ... it is the one with the blue top/bottom. I thought it might be a different flow rate for the existing flow gauge, but it is too large. Does anyone else have this?

    Thanks
    Mike

My buddy has one just like that to take a reading at the gun. That may be for checking the flow at the gun...

Its for setting up your plasma torch. The ball should float in the middle of the line when it it is flowing correctly. Adjust your pressure until you can get it to float where it should. Place it over the nozzle of the torch while the torch is held upside down, after you quickly press the button to start the Post flow. Don't fire off into the cylinder though.

Too much "stuff" happening. Sorry, didn't notice you were new to the forum. Sorry for being so remiss. Welcome to the forum and all of the good people and knowledge it has to offer! Cheers.
Is it OK to want to break something just so that you can weld it back together?
