    Default Deleting old photos?

Last time I posted pictures, I saw that every photo I've posted in the past is still available for upload into a post, even though it's unlikely I'll upload them again.

Can I / should I delete these if it creates a bandwidth or storage sinkhole for the forum? I don't know how the forum works- if my photos were deleted from the upload utility, would it also delete photos from my posts?

Happy to delete them if it will help~

    Hey DaveO,

I just did the same thing, it’s not very intuitive, as Irecall go to the “manage Photos” selection, then select the photos you want todelete, use the ctrl key to select multiples. Then right click on the selectedphotos that appear at the bottom. As I remember anyway.

Hey, Mickey- When you're logged in you can click the Reply button below a post, then click the Go Advanced button, scroll down a touch, and the Manage Attachments button appears.

When I get to the File Upload Manager I still haven't managed to delete photos. I can drag them to the Insert window below and click the X to "Delete this asset" but that only removes it from the insert window, it doesn't delete it from the Upload Mgr.

Not a big deal- don't want to soak anyone's time or attention. I just thought getting rid of needless overhead might be beneficial to the forum and overall operations.

If you go to settings then on the left side almost at the bottom there is an attachments button that gets you to all your uploaded photos. It looks to me like deleting from there would also delete them from the posts though, and it makes me sad when I come across a forum post with missing pictures so you might want to be cautious and just try one as a test.

I kind of doubt that the software would keep more than one copy of a picture unless it is part of an overall backup strategy though, so I'm not so sure it would do much in the way of keeping the tubes clean anyway.

    Kind of funny,

I deleted several unused photos I had uploaded from SEMA,and didn’t post. But I tried to reproduce it, and I musta been drunk when I did it before because I couldn’t figure it out this time. It can be done somehow because the photos I deleted are still gone.

I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it.
