  1. Default Hello All from SE WIsconsin

Hello all I am new to the forum but not welding. Just purchased a Power Ultra 250P and am excited to get started with it.

I will be using it at my work. I usually tig weld 304/316 stainless but some carbon steel too. Am able to weld Mig, Tig , Stick, and oxy/acetylene.

Anyways, great to be here and should have the rig up and running here soon. I have a few questions concerning the new power ultra 250p but will post them elswhere.

    Take care and happy welding!!

Howdy and welcome. Will be waiting for some pics, just like everybody else.
Penncrest Buzzbox - Infinite amp control! Man the 70's were good.
Everlast Powerplasma 60 - Reliable unit, cuts well.
Everlast i-MIG 250P w/spoolgun - Really smooth, plenty of cajones.
Everlast 250EXT - Sometimes it just takes a kick in the balls...
Everlast 255EXT - Just started playing

  5. Default Thank's

Thank's for the warm welcome. Should have it up and running tomorrow hopefully but maybe friday. Should be fun. I will post some pics when I get myself aquainted with her. I will prolly start out welding on some .063" wall 304 ss square tube and some 3/16" 304 ss flat stock as this is some of what I usually work with here. Next will be onto some 150# carbon steel ANSI flanges mating to 3/16" carbon steel seamless tube. Should be interesting

  6. Default Got her up and running

Finally got her up and running. The Power Ultra 250P seems to TIG pretty well. Still getting used to her and what she can do. This is carbon steel Tigged @ 200amps. I bead blasted the weld on this one to get a clean view of it.

Thanks. It is a 150# carbon steel ANSI flange mating with 3/16" carbon steel seamless reducer tube. I am welding together a product at my work called a hydroclone. I usually weld them in 316 stainless but we have a customer that needed one spec'd with the ANSI flanges and carbon steel. It was the 3rd thing I welded with the new PowerUltra. I have several of these to do at my work. Did it with 1/16" filler rod but seemed a little small. Moving up to 3/32" rod to see how she flows.
