    Default Some Tig Practice this Weekend

    I finally got some time to sit down and lay a few beads with my PowerPro 205. I was using about 140 amps on the machine and using the footpedal. 3/32 2% lanthanated, ac frequency~110hz, ac balance ~ 30, some pre and post flow. Material was 3/16 aluminum. It is basically the tubing you get for intercoolers and intakes. Here is a pic:



    I will be welding more today and will post up some more pictures.

    Looks pretty good.... what filler are you using ?

    Thanks and I'm using 3/32 4043 in these. I also did some practice to see how the pulse setting was. It helps you to get dialed in on when to dip. Here are some of the beads I ran with pulse. I think I was about a pulse a second with machine max amps set at approx 125 and pulse ratio at 50% and pulse time on at about 45%. Not to positive on the settings but Im pretty sure they were close to that. Other than that I was just watching the bead and controlling it with the foot pedal.
