Coop - whenever you are using the footpedal, you won't have the torch switch plugged in at all. You will only need to plug the torch switch plug in for those "out of position" welding scenarios where using the footpedal just doesn't work.
If you bought a WP26 with the 2 pin connector, you could easily convert it to the 7-pin needed to use the torch switch on the Super200P, by just cutting the 7-pin connector off your old WP17 torch and splicing it onto your new torch.
You should be aware that the torches for the newer (IGBT-based) everlast machines use a different style of 7-pin connector than are used on the earlier style mosfet machines (such as your Super200P.)
The earlier style mosfet machines also use an M16x1.5mm threaded inert arc fitting that is also not used on the newer IGBT-based machines.
