  1. Default Looking to get smaller torch soon, what do you recommend?

Hello all, I just got Everlast 250EX in couple weeks ago and start use it, I think it's great machine as well as price.

However torch came with welder is Wp18 kind too big to my small hand, I really looking to get smaller torch pretty soon. I do most of time 3/16 to 1/4 thick steel weld so It's ok torch has only lower amp rate like 200A.

I'm just switch from MIG weld world and I don't know yet what torch will fit to my welder and size, I do thankful any opinion you have!

This will explain torch sizes... ckworld can give part numbers if you choose to go with one of their torches. Welcome to the forum.

    Thank you for info zoama585.
After seeing video and visit website I leaning toward CK-17 size,
    http://www.ckworldwide.com/ck17f.htm

I don't have water cool system yet and won't need for this amp.

I also like CK 24 size, it just neat!

Anyway if I get one of CK-17 from CK worlwide, will it be just fit for Everlast machine? or will I need to get adapter or some other parts to make it fit?

Just needs to have a 35-70 dinse connector and a gas quick connect that fits everlast machines.

Get a water cooled torch. All the air cooled torches I've tried get too hot. I don't have a cooler right now either but use the old tried and true water hose. All the parts to water cool is about $15 from Lowe's or Home Depot.

The CK torches are nice but I really like the WeldTech torches. I've got a 20 series torch that is good to 225 amps and is really nice and small. I have the flexible head design and I find that to be very useful.

The factory 18 torch is just way too big. The hoses are just too stiff and makes for a very uncomfortable welding experience. I keep it around for those jobs that may need the maximum 250 amps.

Yes I would recommend getting your torch through Everlast. The torch will have all the connections ready to go instead of having to buy the required parts to make it work.

The torches available from Everlast will be plug and play. Plus at $110, that is really a pretty good deal.

Thank you info Steve. It's good idea just use tap water connect and run, water in my town is very low rate. Your CK 20 torch has finger switch and able to connect to to your welder no problem?

Now I see weight difference CK 17 and CK 20, CK 20 is even lighter and even more amp than CK 17. However what is difference between CK 20 and CK 200?

I would look at our WP-20 as well. The CK20-CK-200 are pretty much the same (size amps) far as I can tell. You can get flex heads as well and super flex cables for them. Arc-zone has them, just google and see them all. If you search our forum you can find links to people who have adapted the CK-200, think I saw it on google to, the link.

I bought the wp-20 flex head through Everlast for my 250EX... Nice and small, works great and it has a 25' lead so I don't have to wheel my cart out so much.
It hooks up to the 250EX with ease and also comes with the quick fittings for the water cooler, I thought I would have to use the ones from the torch that came with the 250. A+!!! This 250EX is a Super nice TIG machine!!!

Thank you for more info people. They are really got me now. I ended up getting EL water cooler, EL WP 20 torch set, plasma cutter! Black Friday kills me.

Reason I got EL WP 20 is perfect kit plug and play and reasonable price. I'm very wonder how comfortable torch grip size and cable flex. I will post some report once I get them to use.
